Sioux Barry is a certified Remedial Massage Therapist, Massage Trainer + Assessor, and the Founder + Formulator of Solstice Skinfood—a handcrafted natural skincare line - born in 2010 in Washington, DC, and now being reborn in the Australian bush. She brings more than 2,000 hours of formal training (and decades of informal training), combined with more than 20,000 hours of practical experience since 2001.

Teaching and sharing the healing arts is a passion of Sioux’s. Various workshops in Traditional Thai Massage will be held in Stanthorpe, so join us for a mountain escape + learning experience. Sioux has also taught Massage Techniques and Anatomy + Physiology at Massage Schools of Queensland on the Gold Coast.

Sioux returned to the Granite Belt region to continue her healing practice after almost two decades of massage therapy in Washington, DC, where she owned her own studio—Healing District. Her passion for Eastern traditions and healing led her to Traditional Thai Medicine. Sioux believes Thai massage is the perfect culmination of deep tissue, orthopedic, and sports massage, energy work, stretching, and assisted yoga postures for bringing health, vigour, and rehabilitation to her clients.

For two seasons, Sioux served as Team Therapist for DC UNITED—Washington, DC’s Major League Soccer professional men’s soccer team. Prior to starting her own studio, she was a Senior Therapist at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Spa—Washington, DC. In 2007, Luxury Spafinder inducted her into their “Hall of Fame”, for her Traditional Thai Ritual.

Sioux has studied with various Masters in their fields and is dedicated to continuing her education and a lifelong journey of self-study and realisation.
